Slithering Snake

Slithering snake sees small spider.
It isolates its image in interest.
Analysing and anticipating an angry action,
Realising really regular reactions.

Puzzled pause provokes precaution,
Tries to taste toward the thing.
Begins by being beware before,
Moving minute millimetres more.

Slithering slowly seeking some scent,
Trying to take the time.
Suddenly something startles small spider.
Fiery fangs forced forth.

Tactfully the tester thinks twice.
What was waking with wrath?
Maybe mighty massive munchers,
But boasting brilliant bites.

Snake stops, stands still, stoops.
Crawler calms, crazed change ceases.
Little legs limber lightly,
As another adventure arrests.
