Programmed For Sadness
From the day I was born, Sensory experience has guided me, For what I have learnt through the years, Has led me to this place I see. I have been programmed for sadness. Animalistic instinct, Accepts this reality, For we see it as the world we are in, And justify it accordingly. I have been programmed for sadness. Life as we know it, May not be what it seems, For it could all be an illusion, For our senses to perceive. I have been programmed for sadness. I overcome the sadness, With this simple small idea, You can always find something to smile at, When you look it is clear. I have been programmed for joy.
